The Quad County Saddle Club provides opportunities for horse-related fun and learning. Horse shows are family-oriented, friendly competitions for all ages and include halter, performance, and game classes. Five to seven horse shows are held each year between May and October. Obstacle Coure events are held twice a year to help desensitize horses to different situations. Other activities include trail rides, parades, club meetings, and seasonal parties and opportunities related to horse care, riding and working with horses.

The Madrid Lions was formed in 1929 and is the charter organization for the Madrid Scouting clubs. Meetings are the 1st Tuesday of the month, 5:45pm, at The Cedars, Highway 17 in Madrid.
